The 2019 nomination period for the Dr. Wendy J. Wolf Health Leadership Award is open. Nominations should be submitted to the Maine Health Access Foundation by Friday, June 28th.
The award is named for Dr. Wendy J. Wolf, MeHAF’s founding President & CEO, honoring her 15 years of leadership at the foundation and her contributions to health care access in Maine. The award recognizes the exceptional leadership and achievements of nonprofit leaders working to promote access to quality health care and improve the health of Maine people, particularly those who are uninsured and underserved.
“We can think of no better way to honor Dr. Wolf’s contributions than to recognize those nonprofit leaders who carry on her legacy of promoting access to care for Maine’s most vulnerable people,” said Barbara Leonard, MeHAF’s President & CEO. “These are the leaders who will promote improved health for generations to come.”
The award recognizes leaders currently working for or serving on a board of a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and includes a $10,000 gift to the organization for which the awardee works or serves. Previous winners are Christine B. Hastedt of Maine Equal Justice and George A. Hill of Maine Family Planning.
Both the nomination form and more information about the award can be found on MeHAF’s website.
